But Jesus said,
“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children. ”And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.
{Matthew 19:14-15 NLT}

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. {Proverbs 3:1-2 NIV}

Children, must honor and seek the LORD in their young age by honoring their parents and do their will, by doing so, you will live a long successful life. You can tell if a young person honors their parents, because, if they do they will not regularly do anything that would displease them. This attitude pleases God! God honors children that honor their parents.

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them" before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain; when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men stoop, when the grinders cease because they are few, and those looking through the windows grow dim; when the doors to the street are closed and the sound of grinding fades; when men rise up at the sound of birds, but all their songs grow faint; when men are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags himself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then man goes to his eternal home and mourners go about the streets. Remember him—before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. "Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Everything is meaningless!" {Ecclessiates 12 vs. 1-8 NIV}

The will of God for young people is to honor their parents. What is the meaning of the word honor:

To revere, to respect, to treat with deference and submission. It is God’s will that all children should honor and respect their parents. "Each of you must respect his mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God. {Leviticus 19:3 NIV}

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. {Ephesians 6:1-3 NIV}

For children who dishonor their parents, the bible have a lot to say about that. The bible clearly state that children who cursed their parents, must die. Proverbs ch. 20:20 reads: "Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in complete darkness.

The Ten Commandments Bible Lesson NLT}

1}- You must not have any other god but me.

We must give God the first place in our heart and lives. God is a jealous God and does not want any other gods before Him. Many people around the world make material things their god, and some of them even put fame or entertainment over the only true God of all.

2}- You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind.

The second one refers to loving material things more then engaging yourself in doing something in the service of Christ. Now anything you love more then getting yourself involve in any activity in the Church is your Idol.

3}- You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God.

The third one refers to Anger, many Christian fail to keep that one. The bible clearly state that you can, “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, {Ephesians 4:26} We must not use the name of God for any reason when we angry, when we do that, it calls Blasphemy.

4}- Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

The fourth one refers to the Temple of God. The Jewish people worshiped in the the temple or in the synagogue, and they do not work on the sabbath day because it was the day that God had rested from all His work. The bible said, it must be kept Holy to the LORD.

5}- Honor your father and mother.

The fifth one refers to the Honoring of your parents. It Honors the LORD when you honor your parents. The bible says: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: {Ephesians 6:1-2NLT}

6}- You must not murder.

The sixth one refers to hatred and our behavior towards others. God wants us to settle our differences in a peaceful manner, not by hatred or fighting with one another or arguing with each other. When we hate one another, God consider it the same as murder. "Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. {1 John 3:15 NLT}

7}- You must not commit adultery.

The seventh one refers to marriage. The seventh commandment concerns chastity. We should be as much afraid of that which defiles the body, as of that which destroys it. Whatever tends to pollute the imagination, or to raise the passions, falls under this law, as impure pictures, books, conversation, or lust at heart. The bible says: "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. {Matthew 5:28}

8}- You must not steal.

God wants us to respect what's belong to others. We must not take money or anything else that does not belong to us.

9}- You must not testify falsely against your neighbor.

God warns us to not telling lies about our neighbor. God wants us to always speak the truth to one another because He is a God of truth and not a God of lies.

10}- You must not covet your neighbor’s house.

We must not desire or want what's belong to others. Anything that someone else have belongs to them.
